This is a trip totally different to the others in our concept. Join us for a 2-hours walk in one Bangkok’s oldest communities.
The advantage of walking is you get more time to study the surroundings, for photographing and we get in to small alleys where it is not possible to cycle really. It is not a long walk, but still this trip presents several interesting areas, reminiscent of Bangkok’s history and diversity of populations.
After an initial short bus trip, the participant will take part in both Muslim, Catholic, Chinese and of course Buddhist establishments.
One of the highlights is a visit to a local bakery, where they bake a kind of muffin after an ancient Portuguese recipe. We cross the Chao Phraya River by ferry and take a short walk through a part of the flower market, one of Bangkok’s best places to visit.
The finish will be a visit to a small café, where we can have a cup of coffee and taste some of the freshly baked muffins. The format of this trip allows continuous information from our guide, and good opportunities to ask questions, of course. The trip ends at the café and there is no need going back to where we started.
