The half day trips take place on the western side of the river, Thonburi side. This is the more genuine part of Bangkok and also more unknown for tourists. The routes in the morning and afternoon are different and totally separated from each other. But works the same way and the experience is similar.
The itinerary is far away from the tourist areas, in typical Thai neighborhoods, along the canals, through narrow alleys, close to ordinary Thai homes.
The trip aims to show you the contrasts in the Thai community and our journey through different areas will exemplify this clearly. In some areas it seems like time stands still, people’s daily life is far from the modern world and goes on like always. It is a nice feeling to see this as long as it still exists.
We travel in a relaxed tempo, with several stops for guiding and refreshments. The guide will give you more understanding for the Thai society, culture and way of living.
You will see some spectacular, unknown temples, never mentioned in any guide-book. We also visit a local market, see schools perhaps having a lesson outdoor, traditional houses built on stilts standing in water, swimming children, feed the fishes, production of local products and much more. Most parts of the tour go on easy backstreets, but also on elevated concrete paths through green areas with plenty of nice scenery. We make a break late on the morning tour and early on the afternoon tour to enjoy a Thai lunch. Some choices are given for you.
